Merricks:
One stop shop!
Merricks General Wine Store for dining- there are a few outdoor tables around the back.
To the side is The Traders, for retail therapy - you'll find a selection of our goodies here! And I'm sure if you want to collect an order on your day trip, the lovely team will let me leave it there for you to collect.
The Verandah, take-away coffee + snacks
Walk the Red Hill Rail Trail:
One of the few, longer, dog friendly [on leash] walks on the Mornington Peninsula. It is 6/7km one way. Walk some or all of it. If you go with friends [in more than one car] and only want to walk one way, park a car at the other end to get back to the car you left!
Or hit up Flinders Dog Beach, just up the road:
Our absolute fav dog beach. Long. Not busy [through the week when we go, anyway]. One word of advice though - check the tides: you don't get very far at high-tide. Then stroll the Flinders shopping strip for goodies. Personally, I can recommend ALL of the shops! Ha. We love popping into Shed - also dog friendly. Give Daisy a smooch if she's in. Donna Maria for takeaway/sit down meals. Flinders Sourdough to laod up on Beach Buns [my fav] + freshly baked bread.... I hear the pies are good too!
